was a second shooter for a four hour wedding last weekend in Olympia. Shoot went ok pretty short but got some pretty cool stuff. Below are some shots im publicly allowed to show but go here for the private shots.

The Den

just shot the den today nothing too special. The Den is a Tea/live show cafe in the back of Urbanxchange in downtown tacoma. The volcano was running a piece on them and wanted some photos of the place and the people who run it.

other than that i have been doing some automotive stuff also, just for fun building my portfolio.

Best of Tacoma

The past week i have been constantly shooting for the "best of Tacoma" issue for the weekly volcano. I got the call from Matt at the volcano on monday asking me if i want to do it, of course i said hell ya! crappy part was it was due that thursday.

anyways the Best of Tacoma issue for the volcano is a HUGE deal, they even have a party after to celebrate. ALSO this year its going to be in 3D!(thus the glasses) i had no idea they could do that with news paper printing... shows how much i know lol

i was gonna put my experience at each place but in all honesty everyone was awesome and i had a GREAT time on this assignment and will def be stopping by these places again.

Wedding post 2

just finished going through pics from a wedding i shot last weekend. I will say it was one of the HARDEST weddings i have EVER shot, also one of the first weddings i have done alone. The wedding was during a hot day for the Tacoma/Auburn area a sweltering 85!!! lol It took place at there house in auburn kind of in there back yard and in there big red barn.




2 things that made this tuff were:

1. CRAZY super bright sun.
2. Location (yes the location was pretty but i think i have gotten spoiled with gardens and estates)




everyone was really nice to me and everyone else in helping out. I always have a good
time at weddings because its awesome meeting new people and people are "usually" in the best of moods!

Wedding

Shot a wedding last weekend for Luna Bella, at the lake wold gardens in Lake Wood Washington. Really beautiful grounds so that made things a little easier. It has been a few months since i shot a wedding before this one so i went in a little nervous.



I showed up at he hotel to meet up with kyle for the "getting ready" pics (nervous as always), but apparently the traffic was SO bad that he could not make it and i had to lone wolf it!







After that we drove to Lake Wold gardens in lake wood. The shoot went very well, i was a second shooter during the wedding getting all the candid shots.








so all in all it went great! one 9 hour wedding down LOTS more to go!

Q-Dot cover

I have been shooting for papers and other companies for quite some time and finally

though it was time to blog it lol

So this shoot was for the cover of the Weekly Volcano. Sadly during this shoot i was coming down with quite a cold so my "artistic edge" was pretty freaking dull lol I showed up at the steps of UWT about 45 mins early to get a feel for the lighting and where we would go, i had nooo idea what to do.

OH and in case your wondering i was shooting a rapper/hip hop artist Qdot and his art director for the upcoming show "grit fest" (?).

Anyways when they showed up things got better, i put down the camera and starting talking to them and thats really when i noticed that they became much more comfortable with me .

We started at UWT i took some pretty standard shots to get in the feel for things then we moved our way up to the swiss where we played pool talking,laughed and getting some great shots! Q has quite the personality and hes not to good at pool lol Yes he lost hahah.On our way out i noticed a seat with some wood paneling behind it and though it would be a cool texture for a B&W plus the window lighting was pretty sweet.

They said Urban Exhange's Den is pretty cool so we headed down the street and to the den.

There was much for lighting but i liked the colors and the funky old decorations and though it would work.

I really enjoy working with papers!
